A Life-Altering Moment
The year was 2011, and our lives took an unexpected twist when I received a phone call informing me that my wife was being rushed to the hospital in an ambulance. Wendy had been struck near the temple by a baseball, resulting in a traumatic concussion. Little did we know, this incident would set us on an extraordinary path of discovery and transformation.
At the time, I was a personal trainer, massage therapist, and nutritionist with a focus on pain elimination and body composition manipulation. I was well aware of the impact of food and exercise on our well-being, and I had a general understanding of the potential dangers posed by additives and household chemicals. However, I had never thought that these concerns would hit so close to home.
A Quest for Health and Wellness
Wendy had always dreamed of becoming a mother. Unfortunately, she faced a common diagnosis among many young women: Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), which doctors believed would prevent us from conceiving naturally. Our journey was filled with numerous treatments and persistent struggles, with Wendy experiencing dizziness and ultimately having to give up her career.
Amid this challenging period, as part of Wendy's treatment, it was suggested that we eliminate common household toxins, such as detergents, health and beauty products, and replace them with natural, chemical-free, and artificial fragrance-free alternatives.
The astonishing part of this journey was what we discovered when we made these changes. Blood tests revealed a significant change in Wendy's biochemistry, and in December 2016, against all odds, Isaac was born, a testament to what our bodies can achieve when unburdened by the toxins of modern living.
A Family Transformation
This pivotal moment set us on a path to seek long-term alternatives to common household products – detergents, cleaners, personal hygiene, and food products – that could help us and others avoid harmful chemicals. We began the journey of sourcing, formulating, and producing natural products, driven by a simple goal: to make these products more accessible to families like ours.
Our mission was clear – to ensure that our son, our family, and now your family could live better, safer, and perhaps even eliminate ailments that might be related to the everyday products we were told were safe. Thus, Wendy, Isaac, and I (the WIC Family) Naturals was born.
Unexpected Miracles
Our story didn't end there. While conceiving one child was a miracle in itself, the prospect of a second child seemed like an almost impossible dream. We didn't close the door to the idea, but we dared not hope too much. To our astonishment, in the late stages of a challenging 2020, Nikolas arrived, healthy and perfect, just like Isaac.
For ten years, we had been told that it was unlikely, even with fertility treatments. We were healthy, we ate well, and we took good care of ourselves, yet something changed when we removed common household products and chemicals from our lives.
We are now the WINC Family, and we welcome you to our story and our line of products.
